Loren James Mick, age 67, Waite Park, MN, died Monday, March 21, 2011 at University Medical Center, Las Vegas, NV.

Loren was born November 16, 1943 in St. Cloud, MN to John and Elvira (Heimenz) Mick. He attended St. Cloud Technical High School and enlisted in the United States Navy. Loren married JoAnn Puchalla on September 11, 1965 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. They lived in St. Cloud with their four children, while owning and operating Custom Welding and Metal Fabricating, Inc. Loren retired in 2003 and enjoyed traveling to the South in the winter months. He believed in living life to the fullest and spent many hours hunting and fishing. He had a way of making people laugh and will be missed by many.

Contributions to the Big Hearts under the Big Sky program in the name of Loren Mick will be placed in the Endowment fund, the interest from which will be used to support the Big Hearts mission in perpetuity.
