Helena, Mont.— Montana Outfitters and Guides Association (MOGA) announced today that both Lt Governor Walsh and Congressman Steve Daines have agreed to speak at the 2014 MOGA Winter Convention. Lt Gov. Walsh will speak at the Friday lunch and Congressman Daines at the Saturday Lunch.
"We are delighted that both men are willing to fit us into their busy schedule this week. We look forward to hearing what they have to say" said Rob Arnaud, incoming MOGA President and owner of Montana Hunting Company.
The Convention has a packed agenda including a Friday discussion on Montana Perils of Balancing Livestock Production and Wildlife Conservation, a Tradeshow (sold out this year), Marketing and Social Media training and sessions on Public Land management, Workers Comp, and an FWP Forum featuring Commission Chairman Dan Vermillion and newly appointed Commissioner Gary Wolfe.
A highlight will be the Conservation Session on Saturday titled Restoring Public Wildlife/Restoring Balance. This session will explore the need for taking a more holistic approach to managing game and predator species in Montana.
"We have a terrific panel with experts from Texas to Alaska attending and offering perspectives" said Mac Minard, Executive Director of MOGA.
The weekend will close out with a Big Hearts under the Big Sky Banquet and Auction to support this premier program which places wounded veterans, children facing life-threatening illness and women who face the challenge of breast cancer on outdoor adventure trips in Montana. The Banquet and Auction will be held at the Best Western Plus Gran Tree Inn in Bozeman. Doors open at 4:30 and admission is $60 per person. Come enjoy and evening out and support a great cause!
