Big Hearts Under the Big Sky

Megan Shoal

A Memorial Fund honoring Megan Shoal was established today with the blessings of her family. Proceeds of the Memorial will support Big Hearts under the Big Sky; a nationally recognized charitable partnership program that provides families of military service men and women, children who face the challenge of a life-threatening illness, and women who are battling breast cancer the opportunity to enjoy a Montana outdoor adventure at no cost to them.

Megan, 21 years old and from Plentywood Montana, was tragically killed May 16, 2013 in a car accident in Minot ND. Megan was known as a giving and caring person who touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a budding outdoors woman who enjoyed and appreciated the value of a day in the field as much as anyone. According to her parents Mark and Heather Shoal “It is fitting and right that her memory be honored as part of the Big Hearts under the Big Sky program. She certainly would have liked helping others who face the challenge of a life-threatening illness and honoring those who have served to our Nation.”
